Digital Colour Correction - give your images a warm tone.
Regardless of how good our photography seems to be, sometime our digital images lack any real colour and are lifeless.
Photoshop Elements 2.0 is the perfect tool for correcting colour. This takes about four minutes to complete and will certainly add mood to your image.
Click on Enhance > Adjust Color > Color Variation.
Once the dialogue box opens you first need to set the adjustments to Midtones.
Then drag the Adjust Color Intensity slider to the left hand side of the bar.
Now you are ready to change the colour - this is done by clicking on the preview images at the bottom of the dialogue box.
To give your image a warm tone similar to that of the 81B filter used in front of your camera, click twice on the Decrease Blue preview image and click once on the Increase Red preview image.
Save and print your image.
This tool can be used to change colours in many different ways. Return weekly to learn more Photoshop skills.
