Nikon D300s

Camera Review - Nikon D300s
Similar to the D300 the D300s is Nikons new flagship Digital SLR in DX-format range with live view and movie mode.
The D300s was announced in July of 2009. Like all Nikon cameras it is extremely well built and has a host of great features. The handling is very quick, with very accurate auto focus. Its 51-point AF-system is very effective, making it a very capable camera for sports and photography with fast moving subjects.
At continuous shooting the D300s can handle an impressive 7 frames per second without requiring any additional battery pack. The viewfinder covers one hundred percent of the frame, which helps to create more accurate composition.
The body of the D300s is made from a strong magnesium alloy that gives the same strong feel to all Nikon cameras. This camera is for the serious photographer and has the features to justify this. Live view is easy to access with a dedicated live view button, making it easy to shoot while composing the image on the LCD monitor.

The Nikon D300s employs the renowned DX-format CMOS image sensor that will provide 12.3 Megapixels. It provides excellent image quality throughout its ISO settings, with little or no noise being produced.
The D300s HD movie mode captures external sound and has an auto focus capability. It has simple start/stop points making it easy to edit your movies during playback .
If you are serious about buying the D300s it will offer you a great mixture of features, with super handling and performance, and it is also good value for money. If you do not need the HD movie mode you may consider staying with or buying the standard D300.
