Canon EOS 1Ds MK III

Camera Review - Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III
The EOS 1Ds Mark III is Canons flagship DSLR that holds a massive resolution, but with its high price tag is out of most consumers reach.
Canons EOS Mark III is a great camera with big features. It boasts a massive resolution of 21MP, and has all the quality features that you would expect from Canon. Its 36 x 24 mm full frame, CMOS sensor produces excellent results with a five frame per second bust rate.
Canon has certainly done it again where image quality is concerned. Detail and sharpness is where this camera really shines. Images produce low noise levels at high ISO settings and noise is not noticeable as low ISO settings. It is also noise free at mid ISO range.
The EOS Mark III has a new improved metering system with 63 zones which are linked to the AF system, with metering modes being the standard centre weighted, partial or spot. It also features a built in dust reduction courtesy of the EOS Integrated Cleaning System.

While this is out of the reach of most people, many studio photographers will be impressed with its image quality. A big bonus is that the auto white balance provides excellent results with plenty of control for fine tuning images.
General colour control is also impressive with vibrant colours produced. Images are crisp while still maintaining smooth tonal gradation. As with all great cameras you will need to buy superior quality lenses to complement this great camera. The Canon EOS Mark III uses Canon EF lenses.
